A lovingly restored historic cottage below Coronet Peak Ski Area set amidst extensive
private gardens on a large rural property, just 12 minutes from Queenstown, the
premiere New Zealand visitor destination.
Guests
have exclusive use of the "cottage" (which is actually almost the size
of an average house), single party booking in two bedrooms, one with a queen size
bed and the other with a double and a single. There is also a lounge with a large
open log fire and a bar, a large "farmhouse" style kitchen/dining room
(which includes a stocked pantry), bathroom with a large "claw foot"
bath as well as the separate shower, separate toilet and laundry. Centrally heated
throughout. Your hosts, Terry and Erina, live in a separate cottage 50 metres
away - close enough to be at your beck and call, far enough away to ensure your
total privacy.
Set in eight acres, the "cottage" is surrounded by a large mature garden,
trees and a sweeping lawn. Barbecue and petanque are adjacent to the extensive
deck which is cluttered with dozens of flower filler pots, rustic containers and
hanging baskets creating an "outdoor livingroom". One can sit on an
old barbers chair on the sun drenched deck and check out the snow on Coronet Peak
Ski Area which fills the view to the north - so close you can be on the chairlift
15 minutes after walking out the door.
